It's the first smile in the morning!

At the mas des figs, this breakfast is a real meal served as a brunch, friendly, a unique experience of varied tastes from "homemade" products.

On request we can prepare vegetarian, gluten-free or lactose-free breakfasts..., please let us know. 

 

La Ferme-auberge: The menu.

Agritourism or agritourism, it is sometimes assimilated to agricultural tourism or farm tourism, is a form of tourism whose object is the discovery of the agricultural know-how of a territory, and by extension of the landscapes, social practices and culinary specialties derived from agriculture. 
 


It is in this spirit that we offer you a simple and fresh cuisine, in the right tone, as we dream of it and as we like it.The vegetables are from our market gardening, the fruits from the orchard, the olive oil from our olive grove! We also have producers around us who we call on for organic production or organic conversion into Locavore

The single Menu, generally at noon (minimum reservation 8 covers), without choice, varies according to the productions of the moment.

Price: 3-course menu = 54 euros excluding drinks (starter, main course, dessert).

Price: 4-course menu = 59 euros excluding drinks (starter, main course, cheese, dessert).

Our large savory Mediterranean buffet "mezze kemia tapas antipasti" with vegetables from our garden or the neighbour's, mozzarela, Tzatziki, Greek yogurt, hummus, eggplant caviar, tabbouleh, broad beans, zucchini puree, tomato compote, carrots with cumin,anchovy and olive cake, pepper cake, tapendade…..etc….

Assortment of savory tarts: sardinaille tart, pissaladière, Swiss chard tart, pepper tart.


Main course :



Gardiane of bull cooked 06:00 slowly and gently in the oven, wild rice from Camargue
Or
Sautéed veal or lamb tajine à la provençale, mashed potatoes with olive oil or mashed sweet potatoes.. 
 

Alpilles and Mountain cheeses.


Dessert :  

a gluten-free crumble with the fruits of the moment, the gluten-free chocolate chestnut fondant without butter, without sugar (a recipe from my grandmother Louise but modernized revisited in 2023..….



Wine prices: the bottle:

Mas de la dame, Alpilles Cuve Gourmande Bio: 25 euros per bottle in white, rosé, red

Aperitif: TRADITIONAL METHOD (SPARKLING WINE) WHITE OR ROSE: 30 euros per bottle.

The harvest is manual with direct pressing and fermentation at low temperature. The second fermentation of the base wine, according to the traditional method, is then carried out by a service provider. This sparkling wine is characterized by its freshness and the finesse of its bubbles.

""Private cooking lesson My husband and I stumbled upon this wonderful place in St. Remy through our Airbnb host. What a wonderful way to spend an afternoon on our honeymoon. We learned all about Provencal cooking and had a tour of the eclectic garden and grounds from our eccentric host, Philippe Michelot and his lovely wife Anne Marie. Our cooking lesson was very informative but not too laborious as Phillipe did much of the leg work. We had a wide variety of Provencal dishes (olive tapenade, hummus provencal style, caviare d'aubergene, basil pesto, fresh bread and veggies) leading up to our main dish of slow cooked veal in Philippe's signature stewed tomato soup/sauce. The conversations, wine and appetizers flowed freely and we ended the day with a seasonal fruit crumble and espresso overlooking their beautiful landscape. Almost all ingredients were from Philippe's garden, including his fantastic home made olive oil....you can feel his passion in everything, giving the experience that extra flare!Thank you Philippe and Anne-Marie...we will be back!Lisa & Tariqh"

Usually on Wednesday morning to allow you to go around the Saint Rémy de Provence market before class, but we can also do it on other days.

Organization of the lesson: Meeting at 2.30 p.m. at the Mas des Figues, welcome coffee and guided tour of the Mas garden, cooking class until 6/6.30 p.m. and tasting of the dishes prepared together accompanied by regional wine. End of service 6:30 p.m.

Price per couple: 350 euros, group price on request.
