Saint-Rémy de Provence: Le Mas des Figues: "Provençal paradise"

Mas de Figues is a small B&B just 3 minutes outside St. Remy but far away from the tourists and glitz. The couple who own the mas are interesting, warm, creative people who have made their home and surrounding olive and fig farm into a comfortable, peaceful. uniquely Provençal vacation spot.
The guest rooms are in one part of the mas and the owners' home is in another, insuring privacy for both. We had short conversations over breakfast and then we were on our own for the rest of the day. Dinner by reservation in advance is advertised on the website but we did not take advantage of this feature. We have no doubt, however, that our hosts, former restaurant owners, would have prepared excellent meals. Our hosts were very kind to make restaurant reservations for us, a challenge since we were there over Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
Our room was well-appointed--pretty, adequate storage space, good mattress, good climate control, large bathroom with a shower (no tub) and a good supply of towels, TV with a variety of French stations, and all scrupulously clean.
In short, we were completely pleased with our choice of accomodations. We absolutely would return to Mas de Figues!
